Family Day

One Saturday each month we host Family Day @ the Library. This event includes crafts and activities throughout the day and is a wonderful opportunity for all ages learn the joy of reading and exploration. Friends of Southern Pines Public Library sponsor the series.

September 24th


This month’s theme will celebrate the launch of the StoryWalk and its first book, Tap the Magic Tree, by Christie Matheson. Craft tables celebrating the seasons will be out all day, including button design for Teens.

Learn to Draw Forest Animals @ 11 AM
Code for Robots  @ 2 PM

October 22nd


This month’s theme will celebrate the fun of Halloween, with spooky stories, crafts, games, and activities. Craft tables will be out all day, including a special craft for teens: making old books into pumpkins. 
Plus check out these special activities:

Compete to build the tallest pumpkin tower  @ 2 PM

November 19th


This month’s theme will celebrate the fun of food with stories, crafts, games, and activities. Craft tables will be out all day.
