KIC Scanner Makes for Easy Digitization of Photos and Documents

Kic Scanner

This scanner is a self-service station and can accommodate scans of papers, books, and other documents. As one Library patron found, it is particularly good at scanning old photographs. She was working on scanning all of her pictures from albums to digital copies. Where it was taking 3-4 hours on her home scanner to digitize 250 photos, the KIC scanner was able to get 687 photos done in an hour and 15 minutes.

Patrons can email or save their scans to a USB storage device. Library staff are available to help patrons learn to use the new equipment. For more information, please call the Library at (910)692-8235.
