Douglass Community Center

Originally built as "Our Lady of Victory School" in 1942, Douglass Community Center (DCC) was later dedicated for use as community Senior Adult 55-plus center and named for Southern Pines mayor Emanuel Douglass.

A Southern Pines Recreation and Parks office is onsite. The office is open 8:30 am to 5:00 pm and oversees Senior Adult 55-plus programs including senior games and North Carolina day trips. This historic building offers rooms for senior games, crafts, classes, activities and a fitness and exercise room.

The building is also a Community Center hosting town meetings, local, state and national voting and public and private events. Amenities include plenty of parking, a large auditorium with stage and small playground.
