Celebrate Black History Month at the Library on Thursday, February 6 at 5 p.m. by recognizing the contributions of African American writers through readings of their work. Students, families, and community members are invited to select a short work or excerpt from a piece of literature (speech, letter, poem, play, story or novel) by their favorite African American author to read aloud. The Annual Read-In is sponsored by the Library and Moore County Schools. Sign up sheets for readers are available in the Library. Light refreshments will be served starting at 5:00 p.m. with readings to start promptly at 5:30 p.m.
