The Library's Online Reference Resources webpage had a transformation over the holidays! The new webpage, now called Online Resources, displays all 100+ resources available to library patrons at the Southern Pines Public Library. Most of these resources are provided by NC Live, a consortium of libraries dedicated to providing enriching content to North Carolina residents. Popular NC Live resources include Consumer Reports, Auto Repair Source, and Mango Languages. The Southern Pines Public Library purchases additional subscription content specifically tailored for our community, such as Britannica Library and Value Line. Use your valid library card number and PIN to access these resources from home or on the go.
You may browse our online resource content by resource name or by subject area. Resources are alphabetized from A to Z. Each resource displays the title and a brief description of the content found within it. Resource icons next to the resource name indicates who provides the item. You can also use the Subject drop down box at the top of the page to sort resources by topical areas. Selecting a subject area displays all of the resources relevant to your topic. One database is usually highlighted as the "Best Bet" for your area of interest. Start with it and see where the search takes you!
