The census, conducted once every 10 years, is the constitutionally-required count of every person living in the United States. The results will allocate billions of dollars in federal funding to local communities over the next decade. Census data also determines representation in Congress as well as state and local governments. Your community benefits the most when the census counts everyone.
Beginning March 12, the Census Bureau will mail census materials to your home. You can complete the census questionnaire online, by mail, or by phone. It should take about 10 minutes to complete, depending on the number of people in your household. Visit the Get Help Responding to the ACS webpage on the Census Bureau website to assist you in completing the questionnaire.
Do you want to complete the survey online, but do not have internet access from home? No problem! The Town is offering Drive-Up WiFi to safely provide internet access to community members during the COVID-19 shutdown. WiFi may be accessed in the parking spots next to the Library on W. Connecticut Street or by the Sunrise Theater’s green space on Broad Street. Select the SPPLguest network, open your browser, and consent to the user agreement in order to obtain internet access.
