September is Library Card Sign-Up Month. Visit the Library to sign-up or renew your membership. Library cards give you access to a world of resources at the Library and from your home computer or mobile device. Digital resources, such as the North Carolina Digital Library (NCDL), are available 24/7. Residents living within Town limits may obtain a free library card with a picture ID and a proof of address. A valid driver’s license, utility bill, or tax notice with your name and current street address are acceptable. Cards must be renewed every year.
Residents living outside the Southern Pines Town limits may purchase a library card. Four options are available for nonresidents (fees adjusted annually):
Full Access Card - for use of the full collection and services
- 12 months for $60
- 6 months for $30
Limited Access Card - for use of the juvenile and young adult collections and services
- 12 months for $20
- 6 months for $10
