Litter Sweep
The Southern Pines Appearance Committee recently participated in the Governor's Proclaimed Litter Sweep. The Appearance Committee promoted litter day in front of the town utilities building Friday, September 27 from 9-1 p.m.
The committee passed out goodies for the children promoting litter pick-up and orange trash bags provided by North Carolina Department of Transportation to encourage residence to help keep our town streets clean and litter free. The Litter Sweep is a statewide roadside litter clean-up drive sponsored by the North Carolina Department of Transportation.
