Southern Pines Station 1 is located at the corner of US 1 Highway and West Pennsylvania Ave. The station, built in 2001, houses a growing fleet of apparatus and personnel and proudly serves the downtown area of Southern Pines. Two Engines, one ladder truck, one heavy rescue, and several support vehicles are located at Station 1 to provide Fire and EMS services to the community. Along with the six firefighters assigned to this station, the Fire Chief and the rest of the fire department's administrative staff have offices here.
Southern Pines Station 2 was completed in 2019 to serve the citizens around the Moore County Airport, Forest Creek, and Caropines areas. This station is staffed with three firefighters who are responsible for the two engines, a confined space trailer, and an all-terrain vehicle. This station also boasts a large training/meeting room, a training tower outfitted with a fire department connection and sprinkler system, as well as a confined space prop. Located in the front of the station is a library kiosk called SPOT for residents of the area to borrow books and other audio/visual items from the Southern Pines Public Library.
